Painting isn't about knowing what I'm going to make.
It's about discovering what the canvas has to reveal about myself, the world and my place in it.
I don't seek certainty. I seek challenge, because challenge is the gateway to discovery.
The canvas has the most to teach me when I don't already know the answer.
Painting is a pursuit of the unknown.
Every painting is an expedition into unfamiliar territory. Through intuition and curiosity, I explore how opposing forces - control and intuition, conflict and harmony, boldness and delicacy, movement and stillness - can coexist in balance.
I don't begin with a fixed destination. The painting reveals itself through the process, each mark revealing a new direction. Every painting becomes an exploration, uncovering something about myself, the world and my place in it.
Each painting creates a world the viewer can step into. I want the work to leave space for their own emotions, memories and imagination, allowing our emotional worlds to overlap. In that shared space, the painting becomes an experience of exploration, discovery and wonder.
